The policy outlined below represents the latest acceptance rules for Auction Sites.
This does in no way constitute an obligation by DalPay to accept any particular sponsored merchant or DalPay Retail Supplier; that decision depends on an individual risk assessment.
We understand penny auction payments, and the different penny auction business models, accepting payments for penny auction sites. We serve some of the leading penny auction operators for this rapidly growing business segment.
1. Definition and Policy
1.1 DalPay accepts those sites offering service auctions, or items for sale on their own behalf either as
straight English auctions,
multiple item Dutch auctions,
reverse auctions, or
under the Scandinavian auction bidding fee model,
AKA pay-per-bid penny auctions,
AKA "Entertainment Shopping",
or "Auction 2.0".
1.2 DalPay does not accept auction sites selling items listed for other sellers, where the owner or operator of the site does not stock and send the items on their own behalf.
(If you are a site owner wishing to offer such an "Auction 1.0" business model, as per eBay, you must put in a direct merchant account application for approval by our acquiring banks. If you are an online auction seller please note that verified PowerSellers and Top Sellers with high trustability ratings are welcomed and eligible for a lower commission fee for tangible product sales than other sellers.)
This Policy on the Acceptance of Auction Sites was last revised on January 1, 2011.
