Completing your DalPay Retail Account Profile and Sending Supporting Documents

After you have received a rate offer, and your DalPay Retail account login, you must complete your profile. This is done from the ‘account’ menu item of the Merchant Menu.
Attention! | Internet Merchant Accounts You will be able to start accepting credit cards online before we receive the printed profile*, provided we have been able to make a refundable US$1 Compliance Charge to your personal or company credit/debit card.

We will not however be able to settle funds to you until we have received the signed profile and supporting documents.

Please note that we will not receive copies of the applicable documents by email, or regular untrackable postal mail, but by trackable courier service only (EMS, FedEx, DHL, UPS, TNT, etc.) where progress and delivery of the documents can be tracked.

Do NOT use untrackable surface postal mail; your profile and supporting documents are sensitive and being able to track their progress and final receipt at our offices is important. Fax copies are NOT an acceptable substitute - physical paper copies required.


*As an Icelandic business while we respect privacy we must comply with the applicable requirements of the Icelandic Act on Measures Against Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing 2006 as amended (incorporating the relevant provisions of Directive 2005/60/EC). For DalPay Retail Suppliers in certain countries, and for certain business types, we may require you to send us the profile and supporting documents before we allow you to resell your products and services through DalPay Retail.

Completing the Profile

Merchants need to enter their details as either a sole trader, partnership, company, or trust, along with the payment details for receiving funds, and other required information.
Attention! | Internet Merchant Accounts IMPORTANT NOTE: please double check that the 'Beneficiary Name' is set accurately under the Payments section before printing out the profile. This must be the exact name on the bank account. If it is spelled differently, or different than set by your bank on the bank account, wires will bounce back to us and you will be charged the 'Return of Wire' fee.

Supporting Documents Required

Include a good colour photocopy or printed scan (we strongly suggest writing 'For DalPay Use Only' across the photo area) of the passport, or other government issued ID for the following persons as applicable:

  • Director or person(s) with ownership or power of attorney over the settlement bank account (includes sole traders), and;
  • The Beneficial owner(s) if different from the above; i.e. the natural person or persons who ultimately own or control the company or trust, defined in Icelandic law as:

    a) The natural person or persons who ultimately own or control a legal person through direct or indirect ownership of more than a 25% share in the legal person, or control more than 25% of the voting rights, or are deemed to exercise control by other means, of the legal person. (However, the provision does not apply to legal persons listed on a regulated market pursuant to the definition in the Icelandic Act on Stock Exchanges and Regulated OTC Markets.)

    b) The natural person or persons who are the future owners of 25% or more of the assets of a trust or a similar legal arrangement, or who control more than 25% of its assets. (Where the individuals that benefit from such trust have yet to be determined, the beneficiary is the person or persons in whose interest the fund is set up or operates.)

Business Name This may be either the LegalName, or a registered T/A (Trading As), O/A (Operating As), or DBA (Doing Business As) name associated with the business.

Will appear to customers during checkout along with the URL set in each orderPage ("Web site location").

The Business Name will also appear, along with the Contact Person set (see below), in weekly statement emails sent to the Account Email.
LegalName Registered name of the business including legal form, i.e. Ltd, Inc, S.A., LLP, etc. Or name of principal if sole trader.

Beneficiary Name on Bank Account for payments must be the same as the Legal Name.
Address1 Registered office address for the business.

Account Email Attention! | Internet Merchant Accounts Administrative Email address for receiving DalPay account specific email including support tickets initiated from DalPay to the merchant, and for receiving regular statement emails.

This can be different from the Email addresses set for each OrderEmail for each pageID, but this Account Email will be used as the default for PageIDs until you change each OrderEmail from 'order pages'.


(Regarding those OrderEmails - you should make sure that each OrderEmail is a contact email at the domain from which you are selling items for that pageID (i.e. orders@<domain.com>). OrderEmails appear during the checkout process and as the Reply-To: field in the order confirmation emails sent by DalPay Retail.)

After you have completed your account profile online, please use the view/print profile button to print it and place a signature or initial (as appropriate) on ALL pages.

This printed, signed profile must then be sent, along with required supporting documents, to our office by trackable delivery service as explained above.
